From a young age I knew that I wanted to become an artist. Ever since then I have been following my passion and pushing myself to grow my skillsets and learn more about art and art history.
As a creative my interests constantly shift. Currently, my goal is focused on sharing the nostalgia I feel towards where I grew up. Growing up in rural Connecticut is a big part of both my life and artistic journey. I am hugely inspired by nature, especially when it comes to color and form. I look forward to exploring the tradition of barn quilts and other natural/folk art styles and pieces. Alongside this interest I've begun exploring more sustainable practices, such as mending clothing. While I am new to sewing I find the process of repair to be fascinating and rewarding-- similar to the feeling of finishing a puzzle.
2025 was a difficult year for me creatively. While I finished a sketchbook and created several large pieces, I sometimes found it to be grating rather than enjoyable. In 2026 I would like to hone in on ideas and explore them to the fullest. I would like to discover a bit more of my personal style and ideals when it comes to creating.
To another year of making cool stuff!
